Greg Egan is an award-winning Australian hard science fiction writer. WIth a degree in mathematics, Egan has a strong grasp of applied physics and unapologetically includes these principles in his writing. Many of his stories explore the nature of consciousness and use the far distant future as a vehicle to explore themes of humanity, evolution, technology, and physics. His novel Permutation City won the John C. Campbell Award in 1995, and his novella "Oceanic" won the Hugo Award in 2001.

Wrong photo, and wrong information

The photograph you are displaying here is NOT the science fiction writer Greg Egan. See:

http://www.gregegan.net/images/GregEgan.htm

Also, the science fiction writer Greg Egan is NOT a former professor of engineering at Monash University. These are two completely different people. Why don't you make the effort to check your facts before stealing photos from other people's web sites and putting them up on your site with incorrect information?

Gee thanks

It's always so nice to get feedback from smug anonymous bastards.

The information above is now correct. I checked it on Wikipedia. I hear they're never wrong, and they have a few more people than a lone gal working on this site for free.
