How old is the site?

The original site was launched in 2000. The new version made its debut in 2008.

How was SciFiDorks' Vault born?

I moved to Australia for a boy and couldn't work or study while I was waiting for my visa to come through. After trying to learn how to knit and appreciate the wisdom of Oprah, I decided to be more productive. I harnessed my dorky powers, wrote lots of scifi reviews, and taught myself web design. Anyone who saw the original site knows I didn't succeed.

Who are you?

My name is Rachel, and I like scifi. That's all you need to know.

Why should I join SciFiDorks' Vault?

If you sign up for an account, you'll be automatically entered into a competition for an original Star Trek signed cast photo.

Ok, not really. But if a signed cast photo of Star Trek excites you, then this is the online community for you. You'll also be able to post comments on any page and receive a notice anytime I deign to add reviews and updates.

How can I post comments?

Get an account, and use your login name to sign into the site. Use the 'post comments' link at the bottom of each page, and you'll see your comments uploaded immediately.

Alternatively, you can post comments without an account, but you'll need to wait around until I approve these before they show up on the site. This could be a day or it could be a month, depending on if I have better things to do at the time.

How can I post a review?

Just email the review to info [at] scifidorks [dot] com, and I'll create a separate page for your review. Remember to include your name as you want it listed on the webpage.

Why don't you include links to other sites?

It's a lot of work to maintain links and ensure they're still active. It's even more work when you have as many webpages as this site does.

And is it really that difficult to plug in your keywords to google, IMDB, or Wikipedia and come up with your own list of links?
